Call for submissions and new events on my website

Hello all

There is news of a call for poetry submissions for a new WordAid anthology in aid of Shelterbox and for the Frogmore Poetry Prize on my website. There is also the latest on events to launch my forthcoming WordAid poetry book, Strange Fruits, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The first of these is a writing workshop at the Hazlitt Arts Centre, Maidstone on 23 July.

Can I also remind you of this Sunday’s reading at The Jolly Sailor, Canterbury, featuring Patrick and Henry Cockburn, authors of Henry’s Demons, Living with Schizophrenia. I have just finished reading this book, which is incredibly moving. Henry is a regular reader at the open mic poetry at the Jolly Sailor.

Maria
