Cultured Llama Publishing is now open to submissions
- We only publish poetry collections, short story collections and anthologies. The last of these may be multi-author collections by writers’ or artists’ groups, which may include works of non-fiction and visual art.
- Authors must have completed, or near-completed their prospective book before approaching us.
- In the first instance, send twelve poems, three short stories or sample chapters in the case of anthologies or multi-author works, along with a brief description of the proposed book (about one page) and a short covering letter telling us about yourself, or your writers’/artists’ group, and your writing track record. Your proposal should be in a single Word document attachment with your name as part of the document title. We shall only read proposals in this format, so it is in your interest to follow these guidelines carefully.
- Some of your writing should already have been published, for example, in good quality literary magazines/journals or on websites, so we expect you to provide details of these.
- If your writing has won awards, or has been shortlisted, please let us know.
- Ideally we would also like you to provide a couple of commendations from published poets or writers, or creative writing tutors.
- Cultured Llama Publishing does not accept unsolicited manuscripts and we will not return any manuscripts sent to us.
