Launch events for strange fruits commence on 23 July 2011 at the Hazlitt Arts Centre, Maidstone, when the author, Maria C McCarthy, will be leading a workshop ‘The short of it – a beginners’ guide to writing short fiction’. A free copy of the book is included in the course fee.

Further events include readings at Gillingham and Canterbury libraries, A guest poet appearance at a Save As Writers’ and Canterbury Poets’ event, and ‘From Page to Stage’, an evening of words, music and dance at The Avenue Theatre, Sittingbourne on 1 October. More details on the Events page.
